Critics never get statues:

Critics never get statues.

They sit on the sidelines.

Criticizing.

Hating.

Commenting on those trying.

Those attempting.

Those failing.

It’s easy to criticize.

It’s hard to act.

Never let the opinion of those on the sideline deter you from trying something.

From going for something.

From achieving what you want.

Too often we wait.

We wait for validation.

For acceptance.

For someone else to pat us on the back and tell us we’re doing a good job.

Don’t.

Don’t wait for it.

Don’t look for it.

Don’t want it.

It will never come.

Your happiness should never be controlled by someone else.

If it is, you’re set up for a life of misery.

That being said, listen to those around you.

Listen to those closest you.

Understand the opinion of those whose opinion you actually care about.

Even then, in one ear and out the other.

When you’re trying to achieve something that hasn’t been done before, don’t expect support.

Don’t expect clapping.

Don’t expect validation.

Hopefully you get it from someone.

But you may not.

If you don’t, I’m hear to tell you something.

Go for it.

You got this.

Don’t let anyone ever tell you your dreams aren’t possible.

They are.

Go show the world it's possible.

We don’t have enough supporters and cheerleaders.

We have too many critics and haters.

Has society always been like this or is this just the social media age we live in?

Where it’s easier to sit behind a screen and talk negatively than it is to support someone.

Gary Vee talked about this idea that completely shifted my perspective.

If someone sits on their phone, writes something negative about you and sends it, they’re hurting.

They’re upset.

They’re miserable.

Let them be.

Don’t let them stop you.

And it’s hard.

We’re hard-wired to let negativity affect us more than positivity.

We can have 100 good comments but one bad one hits a little too deep and we get in our heads.

Just remember.

You’re in the arena.

You’re trying.

You’re doing something different and living your dreams.

Those people on the sidelines, criticizing…

They’re not.

They’re sitting there wishing they could have the courage you do.

Critics never win.

Critics never succeed.

Critics never get statues.
