Day 1388 - Jul.18.22 - Be ok saying no

You have to be ok saying no. Telling people you can’t make it. Choosing yourself over the need to please them. Learn how to say no more often because you don’t need to satisfy other people’s needs all the time. You need to satisfy yours and sometimes that takes precedent over them. Good. We spend too much of our lives pleasing other people who don’t care. We try to be everything for everyone. It’s important in some circumstances but you need time alone. You need to stop and process your life. Most people don’t do that till they’re too old and their life is filled with regret. Don’t let your life turn out like that. Don’t be scared to do things for yourself because of the judgment of other people. In the end, their opinion doesn’t really matter anyway. Now it’s amplified with social media dn that’s not healthy. It creates false models of desire that people can’t live up to. It makes them want the wrong things. It makes them value the opinion of everyone else more than their own opinion of themselves. Don’t worry too much about what people think, they’re too busy thinking about themselves to really care. Saying no to someone in the moment may feel wrong but as you learn to say it more often, your ability to think and succeed in the world goes up exponentially.
