Day 1677 - May.3.23 - Only you can make yourself whole

Don’t wait for someone to make you whole. No one can do that but you. Often times we look to others as a source of our happiness. Parents, friends, spouses. If we make them happy, then we’ll be happy. Right? Wrong. Never let any other person control your happiness. Never let anyone else decide how happy you should be. If you are, stop and ask why? Why am I letting my opinion about myself and my life be determined by someone who isn’t me? Why give that power to someone else? Don’t do it. It’ll set you up for a life of misery. A life of poor choices. A life undisciplined where your subconscious guides your decisions, often times because of how you grew up as a kid. How you were neglected or traumatized as a child determines how your subconscious acts. You have no control over it, until you stop and learn to appreciate it. Learn to understand  it from a place of non-judgment. We all dealt with stuff in our past we have no control over but we can choose how to interpret it. We can choose to work on ourselves. We can choose to fill the gaps in our life that we hope other people will. Newsflash, they won’t so stop waiting around. Work on you. Invest in you. Only you can make yourself whole.
