Day 433 – Nov.11.19 - Privilege

Remember remember the 11th of November. It’s amazing how lucky we are to be born into the situations we are in because I don’t deserve entirely to be here. My life has been such a product of luck and privilege that yeah, I had to work somewhat hard, but I was born to educated parents and could read/understand things at such a young age that other people couldn’t. Then I was lucky enough to go to a school where I was able to skip a grade despite being small as shit. Then I went to an elementary school that turned into a feeder school for a top 5 overall high school at the time according to EQAO scores. Then I quit IB against my parents’ wishes and ended up getting into a school where IB had more difficult requirements. Then I had parents who could afford to send me and my brother abroad to study medicine. Then I had a dad who introduced me to this whole other world of healthcare where I could travel the world and do shit with my life I could never do in medicine. You need to take advantage of this opportunity because you’re lucky.
