Nov.13.23 - Day 1872 - Show them the tools

Give people the tools. The tools they need to live a good life. The tools they didn’t know they needed. The insight and knowledge to understand themselves and the world around them just a little bit better. You won’t solve their problem. That’s not your job. But you can show the way. You can explain to them what’s worth it for you and what’s been helpful on your journey. Then go live by it. It’s one thing to get tools and it’s another to apply them. Your tools only teach when they work on you. Man have they worked out for your more than you can imagine. That’s all you can do. Nothing more. Teach the man to fish, but you can’t fish for him. He has to take the step. He has to show up and try.All you can do is show him, support him then let him go. Remember, other people’s decisions are not your responsibility. As good or as bad as they are, that’s not up to you. All you can do is to try teach people as much as possible for as long as possible and let the chips fall where they may. It’s exciting because the tools are free, readily available and easy to access. You just have to inspire them to take action and pursue their own journey. That’s it. Everything else is outside your control. You can’t give anyone the outcome but you can show them the tools.
