Day 36 – First Friday in Amsterdam – Oct.12.18

Still hard to fathom that I’m actually here doing this. Stopped for a moment after taking a piss just to appreciate how far/how lucky I am to be living this life. I’m a Canadian doctor who spent 6 years in the middle of Scotland and have traveled to over 55 countries with far ranging experiences. So many people would give up their life to have the experiences and privilege that I’ve been lucky to have. Truly have to give it up to my parents and environment because I’m nowhere without them. Even with the difficulties in our household and that I had to take on a lot of responsibility, I would’ve have it any other way. The lessons that I’ve learned from a young age, both from good and bad experiences, have gotten me to this point and it’s important to never forget that. Always remember where you’re from.
