You need to write

Reminding myself why I need to write

You need to write:

You need to write.

To get your thoughts down.

Your ideas.

To put them on paper.

To make them real.

This is the thing that has kept you sane.

Kept you going.

Always been with you no matter what.

Ever since you started journaling, this has been a constant in your life.

Coming back to write.

To make your thoughts real.

Even if no one reads any of these, all of this was still worth it.

It always will be.

Don’t ever think that this wasn’t.

Because you do get in your head.

You do think you’re not good enough.

That you don’t do enough.

That you’re not smart enough.

That you haven’t done enough to have a voice.

All of these thoughts are there.

But that’s all they are.

Thoughts.

They are not reality.

Look at what you’ve written.

Objectively.

Over 1100 blog posts and 2 books in less than 4 years.

That is unbelievable.

Truly unbelievable.

A scale that very few people will ever reach.

No one has the consistency and effort that you have.

No one.

And if they do, they don’t have your voice.

They are not you.

They cannot put all these thoughts and ideas together like you can.

Reminds me of what a friend said.

Read him my piece about Elon Musk being Ghenghis Khan.

His first reaction was you put ideas together that no one else does.

Repeated that to a work colleague last week over a coffee.

He read one of my recent pieces about god.

He said ‘Loved this Anish. What a resource and I can see why your friends say you see patterns connecting different things.’

I appreciate that.

Glad people see that.

But that’s only come with work.

With effort.

No one has read 350 books in the last several years as well.

I’ve been doing this all on the side.

For fun.

Very few people you will ever meet in your entire life will have a larger base of knowledge than you.

Ever.

So you’ve already won.

You’ve already made it.

Your ideas are real.

They’re good.

They’re interesting.

They’re different.

Sure they’re not original.

But you are coming up with original thoughts because you’re connecting patterns no one else sees.

And even if they do, they’re not vocalizing it.

They’re not writing about it.

You are.

And you will continue to.

Writing will never leave me.

Ever.

A boss already tried to shut my speech down.

Why would I ever listen to him?

Just because I said something he didn’t like?

Take a hike.

No one can stop this.

I will write till I die.

Even if no one reads any of this.

All I know is one day, people will wake up and realize.

This guy was different.

This guy did more than most people do in a lifetime.

And he shared it all.

That’s the goal.

Always has been.

Always will be.

Write till I die and share it all.

Remember.

You need to write.
