You worked for this

You worked for this.

You put in the time.

You made the effort.

All those hours of reading and writing that no one saw, you were there.

In the darkness.

Just you, your brain and your dreams sitting in front of you.

Working slowly towards something.

Some direction.

You didn’t know when you were going to make it, but you knew if you stayed consistent and kept going, things would happen for you.

They’re happening.

Getting a pay raise and guaranteed promotion feels validating.

The hard work has paid off.

3 years of showing up every day, doing what you were asked but also working on yourself, it’s paid off.

Congrats dude.

You made it.

So proud of you.

So proud of what you’ve done.

So proud of the work you’ve put in to get here and the risks you had to take.

Everyone talks about leaving medicine but no one has actually done it.

No one has left for this long and thrived.

You’re thriving.

You’re succeeding.

The work is paying off.

There’s no shortcut to success.

It’s consistent hard work and a bit of luck.

You’ve been doing one of those for years.

The other one you can’t control.

But you’ve controlled what you could.

Think about what you’ve built.

Think about where you are.

Think about what you’ve accomplished.

A 27-year-old doctor who’s traveled the world, lived across multiple continents, left medicine to become a healthcare investor while reading hundreds of books and having written millions of words at the beginning of launching a personal roster of Netflix content.

Who else has that?

Who else has done that?

No one.

You did man.

Yea you had to get lucky to get here.

Super fucking lucky.

And you owe your parents everything.

But you did the work.

You showed up.

You made the big decisions and took the huge risks.

You went against your parents multiple times in your life when they didn’t believe you.

When they told you you were making a mistake.

You did that.

Congrats man.

The world is your oyster.

Your journey has just begun.

Like you’ve written many times before, your time will come.

You deserve to be here.

You deserve what you’ve earned.

You worked for this.
