Do I deserve to be here?

Do I deserve to be here?

How did I get here?

How did I get so lucky?

Why me?

How am I different than anyone else?

What gave me the opportunity to live these experiences?

Why?

I couldn’t answer it.

And yet I knew.

How did I get so lucky?

I was born into a specific family.

My sperm was lucky enough to be attached to that egg and grow up in an environment I got lucky to be raised in.

I got lucky.

I had people who cared.

Who made an effort.

Who looked at me with potential.

Who knew what I could achieve.

Who fostered me along.

Who told me ‘you can do anything.’

And yet the overwhelming feeling I had was don’t speak.

Do your work.

Keep your head down.

You’re happy.

Don’t think about it.

When you graduate as a doctor and become a specialist, you’ll be happy.

But then you stop and think.

After reading all those books, are you really going to be happy?

Is happiness going to be achieved by reaching a goal?

No.

It’s not.

It’s going to be achieved by living your truth.

By being you.

By betting on yourself.

Every day.

While everyone looks at you in disbelief.

They don’t believe you.

But then they do.

They eventually see who you are.

They start to notice.

They start to think, ‘maybe this guy’s different.’

And while they’re thinking that, they keep underestimating you.

But you know.

You can do whatever you want.

You can be whomever you want.

If you want to accomplish crazy dreams, you have to think on different terms.

As you walk your path.

You realize the subcosciouns has so much power.

It knows you better than you.

It understands you better than you.

You underestimate it.

Yet it sits there.

Waiting to be challenged.

Waiting to be understood.

And you sit there staring.

Who are you?

When you answer that question, you know.

What you’re destined to be.

But you have to believe.

Every day.

Even when people doubt you and your choices.

Even when they tell you it’s a mistake.

You have to keep going.

You have to keep believing.

Keep betting on yourself.

Knowing you can do anything.

You’re ready to work.

You’re ready to show up.

This year was all a big reset.

All of this is.

Think about you 1 year ago.

Who were you?

Were you ready for the next year?

Were you ready for the experiences you had over the last year?

Were you prepared?

I wasn’t.

I didn’t know what was going to happen and I’m a doctor.

I study this every day.

I saw articles in January about what was happening in China.

And I missed it.

I went to London end of Feb.

I was in Spain with a friend a week before everything shut down.

I didn’t know.

I hadn’t understood how your future can change when you least expect it.

Yet, evolve or die.

If you don’t adapt through the times, you’re dead.

What do you want to create?

What do you want to be remembered for?

What do you want your legacy to be?

It takes courage, hard work and belief.

In yourself

More than anyone else.

All of this is on you.

You’re ready.

Life has taught you one thing.

You’ll figure it out.

You’ll adapt.

You’ll evolve.

And you’ll be more successful than everyone around you.

You believed.

You did something about it.

You bet on yourself

Keep going.

You’re doing great.
