The Deepest Breath:

The Deepest Breath.

Epic documentary.

Incredible storytelling.

Great flow.

Highs and lows.

So much complexity.

Two people’s lives on different sides of the world.

Met for their love of a sport.

Free Diving.

One that can kill you.

Where you take one breath and see how far you can go down in the ocean.

Alessia set the world record.

Became the best free diver in the world.

But it wasn’t without sacrifice.

It wasn’t without criticism.

It wasn’t without hate.

She did it through love.

And that love will always live on.

Don’t want to spoil the movie.

You need to see it.

Reminded me of Free Solo.

The same pace.

The same rollercoaster ride.

But this doesn’t have a happy ending.

Just like life.

Things don’t work out like they’re supposed to.

You think you’ll have someone forever and one day they’re gone.

Just like that.

You have to keep going.

Keep chugging along.

While that person who was your everything just disappears.

That hole never goes away.

All you can do is keep honouring them while you’re alive.

Tell their stories.

Share their experience.

Let them inspire you to do great things.

Death is hard.

But it’s also a fact of life.

Enjoy people while they’re still around.

Because one day they’ll take their last deep breath.
