Build the world you want to see.

Work on it.

Envision it in your head then get after it.

Work in micro steps.

Have the end goal in mind but recognize there will be many iterations to get there.

Failure will occur more than you know it.

But you have to keep working.

Keep building what you want.

What does a world that you want to live in look like?

One where I can build one of the biggest independent media brands in the world.

That’s a huge goal but I also know it’s achievable.

I know what the steps are.

It’ll take a long time.

There will be a lot of criticism along the way.

But I know I can get there.

Don’t listen to the critics, they're not the ones in the arena.

They’re not putting their voice and credibility on the line.

You are.

So focus on the work and forget about the results.

Even if I know how to become a media titan, I may never get there.

That’s ok.

But it won’t be for lack of trying.

Life happens in the effort, not the destination.

It’s the journey to get there that makes it all worth it.

But you have to envision that world.

You have to see what you want, figure out the little steps to get there and go to work.

We need more people with vision.

Vision to change the world, then go out and get it done.

Start and figure it out along the way.

Adapt to circumstances.

Learn from your mistakes.

Understand your failures.

Then keep going.

It will be a lonely road.

No one will be there the whole time but you.

Are you ready for that?

The journey to the top can be lonely then even when you get there, you’re always one move away from it all crumbling down.

People will want you to fail even more.

There will be people attacking you, your character and your identity, even though they don’t know who you are.

All good, move on.

You can’t please everyone.

There will always be people who like you and always people who don’t.

That’s life.

Forget about those that don’t and learn more about those that do.

Listen to the feedback but forget about the noise.

Focus on what the signal is.

You can’t do that with everyone in your head.

You have to sit alone without anyone and think.

Think about the world you’re trying to build and how that current moment is going to get you there.

Believe in yourself and get to work.
