It’s ok to be sad:

It’s ok to be sad.

It’s ok to be angry.

It’s ok to be lonely.

It’s ok to feel all of these emotions.

Feel them.

Watch them.

Understand them.

Then use them as fuel.

Use them to change your habits.

Figure out why.

Why are you sad?

Why are you angry?

Why are you lonely?

Ask yourself.

And figure out the answer.

Sometimes you need other people to help you see it.

But if you don’t talk about it and open up, no one will ever know.

I can’t stress this enough.

Learn to understand your emotions!

Learn to understand your habits.

Learn to understand your mind.

Other people can give you tips and tricks, but ultimately only you will know.

I have this mantra that helps me: everything that happens is my fault.

Good or bad, my fault.

It allows you to take ownership.

It allows you to be accountable.

It allows you to learn from your mistakes and do better.

Your goal should be to understand yourself a bit better.

Understand your emotions.

Feel them.

Listen to them.

Experience them.

Life will always be a struggle.

It is for everyone.

As Charlie Munger said on a recent podcast before his death, his only advice for when you’re struggling is take it.

Angelina Jolie said the same thing recently in an interview.

Everyone struggles.

It’s universal.

We all are fighting battles no one else knows.

We’re all struggling on our way.

The only way forward is through it.

You can’t avoid it.

You can’t hide from it.

You can’t get away from it.

We all struggle.

It’s ok to struggle.

But when you are, reach out.

Tell someone.

Someone close to you.

Someone you know.

Even someone on the Internet.

Or, write it down.

Only for you.

Write whatever dark shit is happening in your head and get it out.

All the feelings.

All the thoughts.

All the uninhibited things you’ve wanted to say but never could.

Get it out of your head.

We all feel the emotions but only some of us choose to process it.

Only some of us choose to reflect on it.

Only some of us choose to understand it.

Be one of those people.

Be one of those people who’s ok being sad.

It’ll help you the rest of your life.
