So fascinating.

It’s about a couple together.

Who constantly fight.

‍

And bicker.

‍

And can’t agree on anything.

‍

Who tell white lies.

‍

Who present a facade to the world.

‍

And yet who are struggling.

‍

Who want to feel something.

‍

Who want to go back to what it once was.

‍

Before they got old.

‍

And tired.

‍

And didn’t want to have fun.

‍

Who wanted to love the person they fell in love with.

‍

The person who tried.

‍

Who did something interesting.

‍

Who made them feel something.

‍

We get into ruts as we get older.

‍

The same routine.

‍

Same structure.

‍

Same thing every day.

‍

But we need to break out of that.

‍

We need spontaneity.

‍

Sometimes we may even need a swinging couple.

‍

Whatever it is, we need to remember that life needs to be fun.

‍

And interesting.

‍

And different.

‍

And we need to get out of our comfort zones.

‍

To try things.

‍

To experience things.

‍

But also to love.

‍

To love and be loved.

‍

To find someone.

‍

Someone who understands us.

‍

Who trusts us.

‍

Who we can be ourselves with.

‍

The beginning was weird.

‍

Hilarious.

‍

But weird.

‍

Wasn’t sure where it was going.

‍

But it ended on such an interesting note.

‍

The moment when Ed Norton starts talking about his wife.

‍

Where Penélope Cruz starts yelling at her husband.

‍

Those last 20 minutes was really something.

‍

And it ended in such a way.

‍

Especially thinking back to the first scene.

‍

One you almost glance over because it feels like just an intro to the movie starting.

‍

It was a really interesting movie.

‍

Highly recommend it if you’re a couple.

‍

But even if you’re single like me.

‍

Teaches you a lot about relationships.

‍

About the ebbs and flows.

‍

The ups and downs.

‍

About how life is not a straight line up.

‍

And it won’t be all sunshine and rainbows.

‍

And it will be weird.

‍

And wacky.

‍

And wonderful.

‍

But through it all, you want to have that person.

That person you fell in love with.

‍

The one who kept trying no matter what happened in the world.

‍

That’s who you want to be.

‍

That’s who I want to be.

‍

Someone who’s constantly evolving.

‍

Growing.

‍

Trying.

‍

Not settling into the mundane of life.

‍
